The Barking and Havering NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) is a public private partnership set up in 2001 as part of a new government initiative. It has been designed to support an accessible health service based around patient needs, with integrated Primary, Community and Social care services.
NHS LIFT is a vehicle for improving and developing frontline primary and community care and at its heart lies a modern, effective and well resourced primary care sector where GPs’ and other health care professionals deliver an extended range of services in the community.
An entirely new approach to securing capital investment in primary health and social care, NHS LIFT will empower and assist the regeneration of Barking and Havering by providing better healthcare facilities, involving local businesses delivering local solutions.
